US Government Invests $1.2B in LTA

Realizing the potential of Lighter-than-Air technology (LTA) to dramatically reduce its transportation costs, the US government has spent more than $1.2 billion on several taxpayer-funded LTA projects, three of which produced prototypes costing at least $100 million each and a combined 30 years to develop.
